Southern Oregon’s Zach Beltz has been named the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Beltz, a sophomore from Elmira, Ore., took second in the long jump Saturday at Chico State's Wildcat Invitational with a mark of 23 feet 2 inches. The defending CCC long jump champion was just ¾ of an inch short of a provisional qualifying mark for the NAIA Championships.
