Southern Oregon’s Matt East has been named the Red Lion men’s outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
 
East a junior from Modesto, Calif., East topped a 43-person field in the 100 meters Saturday at the Raider Invitational with an NAIA 'A' mark of 10.59 seconds.  He later helped SOU's 4x100 team bring its former NAIA 'B' time to an 'A' at 41.34, the fourth-best mark in the NAIA this season.
