Men’s Outdoor-Field
 
Eastern Oregon’s Pancho Saldana has been named the Red Lion men’s outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Saldana, a senior from Milton-Freewater, Ore., took first place in the javelin at the Northwest Nazarene Invitational with a throw of 62.15 meters. The throw eclipse his previous EOU all-time record of 61.93 meters.
 
With his new mark Saldana leads all throwers in the NAIA by more than seven feet or 2.13m.
