Hackney, a junior from La Salle, Ontario, was the top collegiate finisher at the Oregon State High Performance Meet on Saturday with an NAIA ‘A’ standard javelin throw of 57.84 meters (189 feet 9 inches). The toss was the third-longest of his career, and he continues to rank second on the CCC and seventh on the NAIA lists.
