Emerson, a sophomore from Almira, Wash., was in on two NAIA ‘A’ standard times Saturday at the Boise State Border Clash. She won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.12, the ninth-fastest in the nation this season. She then ran the lead leg on the Mountaineers’ 4x400 relay team that finished in 3:54.52, shooting to No. 12 on the national list and qualifying automatically for the national meet.
