Southern Oregon’s Rakayla Tyler is the Red Lion women’s outdoor Track Athlete of the Week after being voted the Track Athlete of the Meet at last weekend’s CCC Championships. Tyler, a sophomore from Henderson, Nev., was part of four event victories. Individually, she broke school and meet records in the 100 (11.87), tied a school record in winning the 200 (24.60), and placed third in the 400 (59.60) as a wild card. With her relay teammates, she helped break school and meet records in the 4x100 (47.07) with the No. 8 time in the NAIA, then capped the meet with a 4x400 (3:56.37) win.
