Hackman graduated in May, leaving the Eugene school with a 3.94 GPA and a degree in accounting. Along with multiple Academic All-CCC and Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athlete plaudits, he was also NCU’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year two times and landed on the CoSIDA Academic All-America second team as a senior. He was inducted into three academic honor societies – Pi Gamma Nu (social sciences), Sigma Beta Delta (business and management), and Chi Alpha Sigma (national scholar-athlete honor society) – and was named the school’s Frank Paliotta Outstanding Accounting Student of the Year.
On the court, Hackman helped the Beacons to a second straight CCC regular-season title and an appearance in the second round of the NAIA Division II Championships. The sharpshooter earned All-CCC kudos as a senior after averaging 12.6 points and ranking second in the circuit in 3-pointers made (91) and 3-point percentage (47.2). He also set single-season and career Beacons records for 3-pointers.
