Women’s Soccer – Defense

Cydni Cottrell of Eastern Oregon has been named the Red Lion women’s soccer Defensive Player of the Week.

Cottrell, a sophomore from Pasco, WA, recorded back-toback shutouts on the road against two of the top teams in the CCC. Cottrell’s strong play this season (5 shutouts, 0.67 goals against average) has the Mountaineers at 6-0 in CCC play and five points ahead of second place Corban. Cottrell has shutouts in four of the last five matches for Eastern Oregon who are receiving votes in the NAIA Top-25 poll.
