It was an absolutely dominant week for the CCC’s leading hitter, as Van Marter attacked at a ridiculous .564 clip through the Beacons’ four games. The senior from Shelton, Wash. tallied 63 kills throughout Northwest Christian’s 3-1 week, finishing with just six errors. Of particular note, she tied NCU’s three-set match record with 18 kills against New Hope Christian, going on to break that record the following day with 21 kills against West Coast Baptist (Calif.). Van Marter currently leads the CCC in attack percentage, and ranks second in the NAIA in the category.
