Unsurprisingly, Martin brings home this week’s Player of the Week hardware after his NAIA record-setting performance against Warner Pacific. The junior guard from Spokane, Wash. set a new NAIA Division 2 scoring record with his 71-point performance in the Lions’ win over the Knights, including a 15-for-19 effort from downtown. Not only that, but Martin sank the game-winning floater in the contest’s final moments, clinching Multnomah’s first-ever victory over a NAIA Division 2 Top-25 ranked opponent. In the team’s following game, Martin notched 19 more points to help seal a dominating victory over West Coast Baptist.
