Northwest Christian University’s Makenna Northern was named the Red Lion Volleyball Setter of the Week.
 
The 5-foot-9 sophomore setter from Brownsville, Ore., Northern's incredible weekend was highlighted by a new NCU record 58 assists against Northwest University, doing so without needing a fifth game. She had 17 assists on 17 Beacon kills in the first set of that match. Her 109 assists over the weekend have moved her into third place on the NCU career list (1334) as a sophomore. Both victories were crucial as they were against the two teams directly ahead of the Beacons in the standings.
