Warner Pacific University’s Mercedes Massey was named the Red Lion Volleyball Defender of the Week.
 
A 5-foot-2 junior defensive specialist from St. Helens, Ore., Massey had 31 digs against a very good No. 4-ranked Eastern Oregon University team, not to mention her 29 digs against a good No. 25 College of Idaho team as well. She had an average of 6.66 digs per set and a .905 receive percentage. The Knights managed to steal a set from the Mounties on Saturday.
