Eastern Oregon University’s Beverly Slater was named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
A 5-foot-11 sophomore guard from Boise, Idaho, Slater led EOU to a 1-1 record at the LCSC Classic, finishing one rebound short on Saturday of back-to-back double-doubles. Slater had 15 points and 11 rebounds in Friday's win over reigning NAIA D1 Champions Montana Western. She added 11 points and nine boards in Saturday's loss to Lewis-Clark State, which is receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll.
