Women’s Wrestling – Wrestler
Eastern Oregon University’s Macy Higa was named the Red Lion Women’s Wrestler of the Week, the first honor of the year.
 
Higa, a 123-pound sophomore grappler from Honolulu, Hawaii, won her weight class at the Mike Clock Open with an undefeated 4-0 mark. The NAIA and WCWA All-American continued where she left off her collegiate debut last year, grabbing two falls and two decisions at the open. Higa pinned one of her opponents in 34 seconds and another in less than three minutes. She also beat an NCAA Division II opponent by decision 11-6.
