University of Providence’s Yurie Yoneoka was named the Red Lion Women’s Wrestler of the Week.
 
The senior 116-pounder from Tokyo, Japan, beat two Cascade Collegiate Conference athletes (Stephanie Blankenship of Warner Pacific University and Macie Stewart of Southern Oregon University) and won her weight class at the Spokane Open in dominant fashion. She had two pins and a tech fall, also beating Alexia Seal who was a WCWA All-American for Simon Fraser University last year.
