Southern Oregon University’s Tate Hoffman was named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
The six-foot-seven senior forward from West Linn, Ore., made a game-saving block at the buzzer and scored 12 points in the second half against Oregon Tech. He led his team in scoring on 7-of-11 shooting against Corban University and registered his fourth double-double – including his third 20-10 game – to complete a sweep of the week vs. Northwest Christian University. Hoffman averaged 19.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.3 steals per game on the week, while boasting a 51.2 shooting percentage.
