Eastern Oregon University’s Corey Sledge was named the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
The junior from Culver, Ore., grabbed an automatic qualifier for the NAIA national championship in the pole vault with a mark of 5.10 meters. It tied for first place at the Bronco Invitational and is the best performance in the NAIA so far this season. On his last attempt, Sledge cleared the bar that matched his height when he won the outdoor national title last May.
