Southern Oregon University’s Dominique Harding was named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, her second award of the season.
The five-foot-nine sophomore guard from Reno, Nev., helped the Raiders advance to the CCC Tournament Championship by defeating Warner Pacific University 60-54 in the quarterfinals and 25th-ranked Eastern Oregon University 76-69 in the semifinals. In the CCC quarterfinals vs. WPU, Harding scored eight of her 22 points in the fourth quarter as the Raiders erased an eight-point deficit. In the semifinals at EOU, she scored 10 of her 14 in the fourth quarter as SOU overcame a 10-point deficit to secure an automatic national tournament berth. She finished the week averaging 18.0 points per game on 54.2-percent shooting, while also grabbing 6.5 boards per game.
