UBC’s Barry Caine was named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
The six-foot-one senior pitcher from Surrey, B.C., Canada, capped off a UBC sweep of Oregon Tech with an impressive start. He struck out 11 Owls batters in seven innings of work, in which he surrendered just one run. It was his first start of the season; his other five appearances have come in relief. UBC improved to 6-2 in NAIA West play and 10-6 overall.
