No. 1-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Gabby Sandoval was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Sandoval, a five-foot-three senior pitcher from Anaheim, Calif., threw her first no-hitter for the Raiders in a 12-0 run-rule victory over Simpson on Friday and turned around to take sole possession of the No. 11 spot on the NAIA career wins list with another complete game in Saturday's 4-1 win at William Jessup. She improved to 92-17 lifetime -- she's won 16 straight decisions dating back to 2019 -- while allowing one earned run over 14 innings on the weekend, also earning her CCC-record 12th career save.
