No. 1-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Gabby Sandoval was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second week in a row.
Sandoval, a five-foot-three senior pitcher from Anaheim, Calif., broke into the top-10 on the NAIA's all-time pitcher wins list by throwing her 30th career shutout, a four-hitter Sunday against Simpson. She improved to 94-17 in her career and 4-0 on the season with two more wins, and has now won 17-straight decisions dating back to the 2019 national title game.
