Northwest University’s Sam VanLoo was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
VanLoo, a six-foot-two junior forward from Lynden, Wash., helped the Eagles go 2-0 on the week. She averaged 15.0 points per game on an impressive 14-for-21 performance from the field. VanLoo also had five rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals on the week.
