No. 9-ranked Eastern Oregon University’s Kiley McMurtrey was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Women’s Volleyball Defender of the Week.
 
McMurtrey, a five-foot-three senior defensive specialist/libero from Idaho Falls, Idaho, had a game-high 21 digs in EOU's 3-0 road sweep at College of Idaho. She tallied two service aces and assist in the win. McMurtrey has posted double-digit digs in 63-straight matches dating back to the 2018 season and has 1,848 career digs, which is nine away from becoming all-time leader at EOU.
