Haynie became the first athlete in the NAIA this season to clear seven feet in the high jump at last weekend’s EOU Open. The senior had a top mark of 7 feet, 0.5 inch to win the event. He now has the top pole vault and high jump marks in the NAIA.

Haynie later broke his personal record in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.32. The Nampa, Idaho, native won the event over College of Idaho's Austin Basterrechea. His 22 feet, 9.25 inch leap won the long jump as well.
