Corban University’s Makiah Johnson was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Softball Player of the Week.

Johnson, a five-foot-eight senior outfielder from Newport, Ore., led the Warriors to a 4-0 week. The leadoff hitter has been unreal at the plate as of late, garnering 16 hits in her last 24 at-bats (.667 average), and pushing her season average to an impressive .379 mark. She homered twice this weekend and drove in an absurd 11 runs.
