Corban University’s Devan Archer was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Archer, a five-foot-seven freshman goalkeeper from Leavenworth, Wash., has been exceptional this season, tallying her fourth shutout of the season in Corban women's soccer's nail-biting overtime victory on the road at Northwest University. She then tacked on three more saves to preserve a triumph against Warner Pacific on Sunday, helping Corban move to 6-1 in conference play, one of the best starts for the squad in the best decade.
