Warner Pacific University’s Hunter VanCleave was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
VanCleave, a six-foot senior defender from Missoula, Mont., anchored the backline for the Knights. With VanCleave in command, WPU averages one goal allowed per game and the Knight defense has committed zero fouls in the box to not allow any of their 11 opponents to attempt a single penalty kick. The Warner Pacific defense allowed Corban's offense to score just one goal on Sunday, a team that prior to the contest had been averaging 3.89 goals per game.
