Oregon Tech’s Hunter Drops was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Drops, a junior from Coos Bay, Ore., won both the javelin and pole vault with B qualifying marks at the Southern Oregon University Meet #2. Drops’ throw of 56.14 or 184 feet, two inches is No. 6 on the national list and his vault of 4.77 is 3 cm from the A and No. 5 on the national list.
