No. 8-ranked Eastern Oregon University’s Kiley McMurtrey was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Women’s Volleyball Defender of the Week.
 
McMurtrey, a five-foot-three senior defensive specialist/libero from Idaho Falls, Idaho, helped anchor the defense for EOU in a pair of five-set victories. She totaled 51 digs for the weekend with 22 the first night and 29 the next. She also had a 94.1 reception percentage.
