Corban University’s Zack Simon was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Simon, a six-foot-one sophomore pitcher from Las Vegas, continued his dominant season on the mound. On Saturday, he notched his first career complete-game victory, going the distance and allowing just one earned run against the Yotes, while striking out nine. He has the lowest ERA in the CCC, sitting at a minuscule 1.76, and he has allowed one earned run or fewer in every conference game he has pitched this season.
