Warner Pacific University’s Brennan Murphy was named the Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Murphy, a six-foot junior forward from Spokane, Wash., scored four goals in Monday’s 6-2 victory over Bushnell University. His first goal came in the 23rd minute, heading in a goal off a beautiful serve. He added another in the 58th minute to put WPU up 3-0. After the Beacons found the back of the net twice, Murphy added some insurance in the 78th minute and another in the 80th minute, kneeing it in from five yards out.
