No. 15-ranked Eastern Oregon University’s Madeline Barker was named the WVT Laboratory Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Barker, a freshman goalkeeper from Kalama, Wash., was a wall in between the posts, grabbing a pair of shutouts on the week and share of the shutout against Multnomah University. Against then-ranked No. 17 Westmont, Barker tallied six saves in 90 minutes to help the Mounties secure a 1-0 victory. She finished the week with nine saves and three wins.
