The Evergreen State College’s Gavin McLeroy was named the WVT Laboratory Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
McLeroy, a senior defender from Bonney Lake, Wash., was instrumental in helping the Geoducks grab two victories over the weekend. Helping anchor the Geoduck backline, McLeroy was making stops before the offense was even able to take a shot. He helped TESC grab its first victory since 2014 over Corban, who was receiving votes in the NAIA poll. McLeroy and the Geoduck defense limited the Warriors to five shots on goal and six shots on goal for Bushnell University.
