Southern Oregon University’s Kami Walk was named the WVT Laboratory Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
Walk, a sophomore forward from Eugene, Ore., turned in two double-doubles on the week, including a 39-point, 12-rebound performance Saturday against Simpson University that marked the highest single-game scoring total for a Raider since 1993. She had 29 in the second half to put the Redhawks away and averaged 29.0 points and 11.5 rebounds per game on the week. Walk also had one assist, two steals and three blocks to help the Raiders to two wins.
