Northwest University’s Sailor Liefke was named the WVT Laboratory Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Liefke, a junior guard from Sunnyside, Wash., guided EOU to a 2-0 weekend, including a thrilling 72-70 win over previously unbeaten LC State. She averaged 15.5 points per game and shot 40.7-perecent from the floor. Liefke put up 16 points and grabbed five boards against LC State and followed with a 15-point performance against Walla Walla University in 19 minutes of action.
