Corban University’s German Munoz was named the WVT Laboratory Men’s Wrestler of the Week.
 
Munoz, a freshman 174-pound wrestler from Salem, Ore., spotlighted the Warrior bunch, taking first place in the 174-pound bracket. The freshman collected a trio of wins by fall en route to the first tournament championship of his young career, pinning Christian Bostick (4:25) in his first match of the day, Emilio Jimenez (2:22) in his next contest, and rounding out his three pins with Pacific University's Zach Higgins (2:21) in the championship bout.
