Eastern Oregon University’s TJ Davis was named the WVT Laboratory Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week.
Davis, a junior from Sandpoint, Idaho, had a superb weekend, placing second in the Heptathlon at the WSU Invite amongst a field of mostly NCAA DI competitors. He nearly secured the event win, missing it by just 35 points. Davis’ 5,248 points is now the top mark in the NAIA by nearly 100 points and ranks second in EOU program history. Over the two-day span, he had three event wins: the shot put (42-0 3/4), high jump (6-4), and the 1,000-meter run (2:45.76).
