Northwest University’s Sam VanLoo was named the WVT Laboratory Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the second time this year.
VanLoo, a senior post from Lynden, Wash., averaged a double-double over the weekend to close out the regular conference schedule. She led the Eagles to a one-point win over Bushnell University, scoring 19 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. The next day VanLoo posted 14 points and 10 boards. She finished the week averaging 16.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.
