College of Idaho’s Abbey Shirts was named the WVT Laboratory Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this year.
 
Shirts, a junior from Weiser, Idaho, set a new school record in the 1,000-meter event at the Polar Vortex Classic. Shirts took first in a time of two minutes, 54.60 seconds, which is the second-fastest time in the NAIA this season.
