No. 8-ranked Southern Oregon University’s Cayla Williams was named the WVT Laboratory Softball Player of the Week.
 
Williams, a junior pitcher/infielder from San Jose, Calif., went 14-for-24 on the week to help the Raiders boast a 7-1 record. She knocked three home runs and two doubles and drove in 12 RBIs over eight games. Williams also went 2-1 in the circle with two saves and a 1.15 ERA over 24 1/3 innings. She homered in both ends of a doubleheader split against top-ranked Oregon Tech, driving in six runs on the day.
