Bushnell University’s Abbott Haffar was named the WVT Laboratory Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Haffar, a senior right-handed pitcher from Simi Valley, Calif., had a perfect game into the sixth inning, retiring 17-straight batters to start the game in the Beacons’ 5-1 victory over Eastern Oregon University. His only hit allowed was a double in the seventh. Haffar finished the game with six strikeouts and no runs allowed.
