(RV) Eastern Oregon University’s Amanda Smith was named the WVT Laboratory Softball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Smith, a senior pitcher from Sisters, Ore., posted a 2-1 record on the week in three starts in the circle, all of which were complete games pitched. She threw her first career no-hitter in EOU's 11-0 (5 inning) win over Warner Pacific University in the series opener. Smith racked up 19 strikeouts on the week, including four against No. 5-ranked College of Idaho. She has now pitched 12 complete games on the year, thrown four shutouts, and boasts a 1.75 ERA in 104 innings of work.
