UBC’s Jamie Hennessey was named the WVT Laboratory Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
 
Hennessey, a junior from Maple Ridge, B.C., Canada, ran a lifetime best in the 3K steeplechase over the weekend. She clocked in at 10 minutes, 37.11 seconds to take second overall and secure an automatic qualifying mark for the NAIA National Championship. Hennessey’s effort also helped the Thunderbirds take second as a team at the Western Washington Invitational.
