Southern Oregon University’s Molly Guerra was named the WVT Laboratory Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the second-straight week.
Guerra, a junior from Grants Pass, Ore., broke a 22-year old SOU record in the discus at the Hayward Premiere. She took fourth overall in a heavily NCAA Division I-stacked field, finishing with a mark of 47.26 meters. With her throw, Guerra moved into the top spot on the NAIA performance list by a full three feet (155-1).
