College of Idaho’s Lane Maher was named the WVT Laboratory Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Maher, a sophomore from Pendleton, Ore., took second in the 110-meter hurdles with an NAIA "A" qualifying time and broke his own school record with a time of 14.30 seconds (converted to 14.34 due to wind). His time is the seventh-fastest to date in the NAIA. His second place finishes were in races with a field full of NCAA Division 1 competition.
