Bushnell University’s Andrew Webb was named the WVT Laboratory Men’s Golfer of the Week.
Webb, a senior from Surprise, Ariz., secured CCC Championship Individual Medalist honors, winning a hole-by-hole playoff over UBC's Russell Howlett on the third hole. It was a big comeback win for Webb, who struggled in the second round on Monday and had fallen into a fifth-place tie after sharing the first-round lead. He also struggled early on in Tuesday's third-round, bogeying three consecutive holes to sit at two-over after six holes. He rallied to claim birdies on five of his next seven holes and ended the day at two-under. Webb was the only golfer to have two sub-par rounds in the tournament and he qualified to compete in the NAIA National Championship after winning his first career medal in four seasons.
