UBC’s Brandon Hupe was named the WVT Laboratory Baseball Player of the Week.
 
Hupe, a sophomore outfielder from Vancouver, B.C., Canada, helped the Thunderbirds qualify for the NAIA Baseball Opening Round by finishing as the runner-up in the CCC Baseball Championship Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank. He finished the weekend batting .400 with six hits, including three doubles, and had six RBIs and four runs. Defensively, Hupe was a perfect 21-for-21 in putouts.
