No. 1-ranked Eastern Oregon University’s Kara Clayton was named the Rize Laboratory Volleyball Defender of the Week.
 
Clayton, a junior middle hitter from Sparks, Nev., had a huge weekend in a win over (RV) Bushnell University and a five-set loss to No. 5-ranked Corban University. She did it all tallying 25 kills, 15 blocks, nine digs and two service aces. Clayton was extremely efficient hitting .435 with just five errors.
