No. 1-ranked Eastern Oregon University’s Kara Clayton was named the Rize Laboratory Volleyball Defender of the Week.
 
Clayton, a junior middle hitter from Sparks, Nev., had a big weekend at the net defensively, tallying 14 blocks in back-to-back wins. She was a consistent presence, averaging 2.0 blocks per set, while also posting two digs. Offensively, Clayton had nine kills and two aces.
