Southern Oregon University’s Isaac Fernandez was named the Rize Laboratory Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this year.
 
Fernandez, a senior from Yreka, Calif., became SOU’s first individual CCC champion since 2015 and led the 11^th-ranked Raiders to their first team title in five years with an upset of No. 5 Eastern Oregon. He cleared the runner-up by 5.5 seconds and became a two-time All-CCC runner after posting a time of 25:18.7.
